Wining And Dining

If you’re looking for a great private dining experience in the world look no further than L’Anima in London. Near to Liverpool Street, this is possibly the best Italian restaurant in London. It has a couple of private dining options available for up to 14 guests. But, if your party is 6 or less, we’d recommend the Wine Cellar where you can see the bustling bar while dining amongst the tantalizing wine racks filled with Italian treasures.

Kitchens And Cars

Bon Appétit

Not only is renovating your kitchen an excellent way to boost the equity in your home, but it also helps the salability of your home in today’s real estate market.

Last March my family undertook a journey to renovate my Mother’s kitchen. This project included taking down two walls, reflooring the kitchen, living room, dining room and sun room, as well as installing new cabinets, and custom counter tops.

Sounds expensive doesn’t it? It certainly can be a very spendy undertaking, but our goal was to keep the project economical by doing all of the work ourselves (along with the help of awesome friends) and employing very careful shopping. My mother spent months filling our basement with free tiles for the backsplash, hardware and light fixtures purchased on clearance until the basement was full with a future kitchen. My Mother is such a fantastic and efficient shopper, she was able to acquire everything we needed for the new kitchen at remarkable prices in just three months. So starting on March 18th, 2011 the demolition began. Below you can see some photos of the kitchen during the renovation and after.

Starting Your Day With A Splash

Starting The Day Off Right

Frank and I both spend a majority of our mornings, afternoons, and evenings working hard to better our clients, friends and community. If you have worked with us before, you know we pride ourselves on being available and gettings things accomplished at all times of the day. One of the key reasons we can function on such a grueling schedule is due in part to how each of us start our days. Personally, I (Alex)  find nothing better than spending a relaxing hour in the morning with a good book and a cup (or three) of delicious french press coffee.

Bon Hiver & Let That Be A Lesson

Good Winter

Bon Hiver (meaning good Winter and not the awesome Grammy winner, Bon Iver. Side note, Justin Vernon came up with the name Bon Iver while secluded in his Wisconsin Cabin. He wrote a letter to a friend and meant to start the letter with ‘Bon Hiver’, he forgot to include the ‘H’. The friend later recommended that Justin use ‘Bon Iver’ as the name of his project.)

I was pretty excited to wake up to a long overdue winter wonderland, but my dog Louie seemed a bit befuddled.

Duluth Lacrosse & The Boxx Scotter

Lax In Stp

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation. I have had the pleasure of seeing the sport grow right in front of me. Initially playing Lacrosse as a cross training activity for Hockey in the 5th grade, it eventually grew to be my sport of preference by high school. After falling to Eden Prairie in the state championship game my senior year, I proceeded to play at UMD. Now, I am excited to be joining the coaching staff of the Duluth Chargers and grateful for the opportunity give back to a sport that has given me so much.
